creatity in my dream

Last lecture is about the structure of phyche “unconscious”. The lecture talks about Fread, Adler and Jung’s idea about creativity. I was very interested the idea about create ideas in dream. I think people have dream have several reasons such as always think one thing too much, want to reach a goal but hard to come true, or have too much stress. These all the reasons I think for people to have dreams and these reasons are I always have dream.
I agree with dream can let people creative. This is the picture of my dream. One night I have a dream of the blue sky. sun flowers are open on the surface of the sky. In the dream, I saw these sun flowers on the top of the sky. I still remember the feeling when I see these sunflowers in my dreams when I weak up. It makes me very cheer up. I remember it very clearly after I woke up. I try to create a painting about it. I want to paint the sunflowers all cover the sky, but I found painting sunflower is harder than what I am thinking. Thus, I stop when I finsh the third one. I’m very interested on take picture for different kind of flower, so I found the daily picture was taken instead sunflower and choose two kinds of flower paint on the canvas.
The painting I created this time makes me believe that some famous artists may be use the same way when they create something through their dreams. They will not exactly copy what they had on their dream, but the dream will give them the ideas of what themselves unconsciousness want create.

my creation on boring week~

When I was a child, I like made clothes for dolls, even though the skill was very poor. After I growing up, I like to make hand crafts, necklace, or head accessories. I spend a lot of money to buy different kind of head accessories, and I hope someday I can, make these things to fit myself.
I don’t have too much project due this week, so I try to make some accessories I was interested in. I like butterfly and for most ship of head accessories were butterfly. I bought some riband in the craft store and all tools I want to use. I got some basic idea of how to make it from website, but I don’t want to copy the exactly form of the head accessories have today. I focus on color use and ship different. For example, the third one on the left side, I think pink color a good for younger people. Only use the pink color by itself is too bright, so I add on layer of brown riband to make it little darker. For the 5th one on the left side, I change the form of it. Make it not equal on both sides.

I think this time is pretty successful, I think creativity is all around our daily life. Such as these head accessories, they are not only use for head, but they also can be as gift decoration, or clothes decoration. These little creativities can bring benefits and fun for your life. It is essencial partialfor our lives.

artists are poor?

Topic on this week is evaluating creativity. At beginning of the lecture, Peter posted a question: why artists are poor. That question makes me think a lot. My major is Visual Art and I’m a transfer student from business. My friends who study business always ask me that why you want to study art? How can you make money to support your future life?

They have these questions because Art and Creativity is incorporeal. It is very hard for people to define or evaluate good or bad, right or wrong. For my perspective, the only evaluations people can say is like or dislike this project because everyone has different perspective to understand art.

I like drawing and painting, sometimes I also thinking what kind of job I can do or can I find a job when I graduate? Should I change a major can give me a stable life? However, later on there is only one thing I want to do is I want study art no matter if the job can make enough money. People cannot live without art. Artists are poor is because people think it is very normal art surround us. Creator and artists bring a lot of fun and benefit to people's life. Music, novels, book, paintings, even the chair people sit, clothes people wear, and the pen people use is came from creator and come from designers. People seems never think about cannot live without invention because these little creation, the influential artists and creator come out. Therefore, for my point, I will support art and also this is the reason why I like study something about art.
